I spoke with Rudy (JR's dad); he said that JR wasn't doing so good. I spoke with him about giving God control of the situation and that sometimes we just don't understand His will. Rudy shared with me that two weeks ago, he gave the whole situation over to God. He said that he has an amazing peace about whatever God does in JR's life. He said "Some people think that I am crazy...they wonder how I can remain so calm." There are many things that you may not understand unless you have given your life to Christ: 1. God gives peace to those who need it, if they are Christians. That peace is incomprehensible unless God has ever given it to you. 2. If you don't understand how great Heaven is, you may think being on earth is better. You see, Heaven is a perfect place with no pain and fellowship directly with God. There is no boredom. There are no tears. God may choose to take some and He may choose to leave some. His will is perfect, but it is sometimes beyond our understanding. This doesn't mean that we shouldn't be sad that our loved ones aren't here with us anymore. It means that if they are in Heaven then they are better off than we are in this sinful world, and they wouldn't come home if given the chance. So give praise to God for those that have gone before us. It is through God's grace that some of my dear friends who have lost sons and daughters are able to have peace. They are some of the greatest examples of God's grace and some of the greatest witnesses that I have ever met. I love you guys...your strength is an inspiration to us all. Your strength and prayers have helped us through this. Rudy understands this grace...DO YOU? If you don't, fall on your knees, and ask God to come into your life so that you can understand this miraculous grace. He gave His Son to die on the cross for all of our sins. All we have to do is accept it and live for Him. Bonnie and I love you all, and our greatest desire is that God be glorified through our situation.

  1. AMEN TO THAT PEACE! I'VE EXPERIENCED IT AND IT IS TRULY FROM HIM ALONE AND UNEXPLAINABLE.
I WILL COMMIT TO PRAY FOR RUDY. THE LORD HAS PLACED YOU AND BONNIE WHERE YOU ARE WITH THE PARENTS AROUND YOU THAT ARE HURTING FOR A PURPOSE AND IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE DOING A GREAT JOB AT LIFTING THEM UP AND POINTING THEM TO CHRIST. THIS IS WHAT LIFE IS ALL ABOUT, KERRY AND BONNIE, BEING A WITNESS FOR HIM NO MATTER WHAT OR WHERE WE ARE. IT IS SO AWESOME TO HAVE THAT PEACE IN A TRIAL THAT SHOULD HAVE YOU OTHERWISE FALLING APART! HE IS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STORM AND HAS PROMISED NEVER TO LEAVE US OR FORSAKE US!!
IT IS HIS PROMISES THAT WE CAN CLAIM TO HELP AND GIVE US THAT PEACE!

  2. So glad to hear Ethan is improving each day, praying it will continue. He is a beautiful baby. It is so good to know that we serve a God who hears his children when we pray. We were with Helen Sunday night after church, she kept us laughting. She is a sweet little girl.
    Love you.

  5. I will pray for continued peace for J.R.'s family. This post is so true. When we lost Olivia we had His peace that surpasses ALL understanding. I could never comprehend it. In reality, I should have been a hysterical mess, and some days I was, but through it all I knew that it was okay, she was okay, she was and is perfect..for all eternity. It is only through His grace that I could ever have that peace. I admire your willingness to follow God's calling in this difficult time. I know He is proud of how you are making lemonade out of a whole bunch of lemons!

  6. Hi Y'all! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I will definitely start praying for Ethan and J.R. I've never had children so I don't know the anguish that you're going through, but I am a "Prayer Warrior" and my prayers will start going up immediately. I don't know what the little one's afflictions are, but I know we serve and have a loving and able God that works miracles all of the time. Yes, we may not understand His way of thinking, but we aren't supposed to. His thoughts are "higher than our thoughts and His ways are higher than our ways. We are not to Lean on our own understanding. He knows the future and what is in store for Ethan and J.R. so He will do what is best for them. HE IS IN CONTROL.

My love and prayers are with you, Ethan and Rudy. If you would like I will put them up on my Prayer List. (Public list on my blog) so that others will see their names and start praying also. If you want this, please leave a comment on my blog with their names and afflictions (if you like). My heart goes out, my hands go up (in praise, to a God who hears our prayers and heals) and my prayers go up to his ears!
