I just talked to Bonnie and Ethan has had a good stable day. They are currently trying to wean him off the epinephrine and that is going well. He should be completely off it sometime tonight.
Please pray that the weaning will continue to go well. Ethan is in a highly environment sensitive area of the NICU, which means there is very little physical contact (mainly from doctors and nurses). It is emotionally draining for Bonnie and Kerry to see their precious little baby laying there and fighting for his life and not even be able to "love" on him. Thankfully, we know that he has the most gentle and powerful hands holding him right now.
I know that Bonnie and Kerry are feeling all our prayers. So many people are praying for them and Ethan. If you want to leave a special prayer for them in the comment box, I know that would be encouraging. Gods word tells us to "pray without ceasing" (1 Thes 5:17) and "where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst" (Matt 18:20). My theology may be wrong, but I'm going to assume that we can "gather" in prayer on the web and He will hear our prayers and be in the midst of this situation!

  1. Jesus, please continue to hold sweet Ethan in Your mighty arms and comfort him, heal his little body, and help him make great progress everyday. We know that his journey may be long on this road to healing. Thank you for be right there carrying them all the way. Be with Bonnie and Kerry and please continue to give them strength for each day. We love you Father and give you the glory.

  7. Love & Prayers from Josh Broadaway's parents. Tina gave me the heads up yesterday and I have been praying for all of you. Here are few scriptures of comfort during these tough times. 'So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will stregthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10-Be still and know that I am God Psalm 46:10-Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you Deuteronomy 31:6-God is our refuge and strength, an everpresent help in trouble. Psalm 46:1-Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy hame. Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits--who forives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love & compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagles'. Psal 103:1-5. He is walking with you, He is front of you, HE is behind you, HE is beside you and HE is in you! HE is! He loves Ethan more than you, can you believe that! It's true HE made him. Know that we are lifting you all continually before the throne of grace! Love Sylvia Broadaway

  11. Bonnie & Kerry, we are continuing to pray every day for sweet little Ethan. He is one beautiful little boy! We pray that God will heal his little body and make him well. We pray that God gives you both the comfort and strength you need to get through this difficult time. We pray that the doctors and nurses are given the strength and right knowledge to take good care of that sweet baby boy. Hang in their guys and know that you've got so many people thinking and lifting you all up in prayer right now. He is with you, stay strong and continue to rely on your faith - you will get through this. Love, Tab

  12. I TOTALLY agree we can "gather" together on the web. How awesome that SO many people can be reached through the web and pray together. I have been praying for you since I found out about sweet Ethan. I will keep praying for you in the days ahead. Psalm 121

  13. I just wanted to give another note of encouragement that we didn't get to hold our daugther until she was 12 days old but that was the GREATEST day of our lives when we did. I know it's hard to be away from home and trying to recover from delivery while spending all your time in a NICU and worrying about your child. Take care of yourself Bonnie. I know you are the last thing on your mind but it's important to heal for Ethan.
Praying tonight for Ethan before I go to bed. God is able to do immeasurably more than you could ask or imagine. Ephesians 3:20!

  19. Hello, I work with David brother of Kendra. He has shared your story and we want you to know that we are praying for Ethan and your family. While I hate to say you are in a great place because no one wants to be there but you are. The nurses and doctors at Children's are wonderful and will take care of Ethan like he is family.
David has given me your number because I would love to get you a gift card to eat because I know how the hospital food can get. I will try to call you and leave a message, please don't answer but later when its good for you, you can to say your ok with the place I would like to get it for.
