Praise Update!
Kerry just called with a praise update. Ethan is off the oscillator!!!!! And now on the ventilator! He is off most of his medications and all of his gas levels are good. He is moving his arms and legs and starting to open his eyes a little! Even though they will be there a while this is a HUGE improvement!!!! Keep praying and we'll send more updates as they come!

God is so good. My heart has been in tune with all your family members, with so many of the pictures and things that have been going on, causing me to recall what was happening with Sam, only a few months ago. I was rocking Sam last night and looking at him, thinking of how so many prayers have been answered for him, and thinking of ya'll and knowing how anxious you you are for each step and each report to go in the right direction. I know the problems that Sam had, has made him even more special to us. It is obvious that God is at work in this whole situation, especially seeing all the prayers that are being answered. If any one doubts that God is still working miracles, all they would have to do is to keep up with this blog.
ReplyDeleteKerry, your writings have touched my heart, and I know you'll never be the same again because of the things that God is showing you through this. I guess this is why we're suppose to give thanks at all times. We are in constant prayer for that special little boy, and all your family. I'm rejoicing with ya'll over the progress that happened, even in the last few hours.
I love ya'll

AMEN- PRAISE THE LORD!!

ReplyDeleteKerry,
ReplyDeleteWhen you told me today that Ethan was doing so well, I was praising the Lord right in the car line to get Olivia. I started thinking about Ethan moving his little hands and feet. God just put on my heart Isaiah 52:6-7 "Therefore, My people shall know My name; therefore in that day I am the one who is speaking, 'Here I am'. How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good news, who announces peace and brings good news of happiness, and announces salvation. And says Your God reigns!" The Lord has truly used a precious 1 week old to bring good news to others of Him and His works! He most cerianly does reign and we praise Him for that! Thank you for your beautiful witness to others and allowing God to use you in this trial. We love ya'll and will continue to pray for Ethan's healing.
Praise be to God. I also have a Sweet little boy named Ethan and we chose his name for the same reasons you did - Strength and Endurance. Our Ethan is a fighter, he is 9 months old and although he was born with multiple birth defects he fights hard everyday. We will pray for our Sweet Ethan.
ReplyDeleteI am absolutely overcome with emotion seeing God working through this precious little boy! God is using Ethan in SO MANY WAYS to bring people to their knees! He has worked so much in my life over this past week showing his love for me and making me even more dependent on Him! I believe that God has HUGE plans for Ethan. He has already been such a blessing to my life! Thank you, Bonnie and Kerry for being so transparent and allowing us to see God at work in you! I love you guys so much!
ReplyDeleteThis is such wonderful news! Billy and I both have been praying everytime we think of you during the day! God is using the two of you in such a mighty way, I can't wait to read your blog each day and hear of little Ethan's progress and hear what you have to say. Kerry, you make me want to jump up and say "Preach it brother!!" Your faith is astounding in this most difficult and trying time. We are praying for complete healing and restoration for that sweet precious boy, and for peace and perseverance for you, Kerry and Bonnie, as you weather this storm!
ReplyDeleteLove and Prayers,

What a blessing he has already been to so many people! Bonnie and Kerry you are teaching so many people how important it is to walk by faith not by sight!! That is what being a Christian is all about! Thnaks for the update!

SCOTTISH ANGLICAN BOOK OF PRAYER, 1928...
ReplyDeleteO ALMIGHTY GOD, giver of life and health, who hast taught us in thy holy word to pray over the sick and to anoint them with oil in the Name of the Lord: Grant, we beseech thee, to this person whom we anoint in thy Name refreshment of spirit, and, if it be thy holy will, perfect restoration to health; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
I would lay my hands upon thee In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
O ALMIGHTY God, whose blessed Son did lay his hands upon the sick and healed them: Grant, we beseech thee, to this person on whom we now would hope to lay our hands in his Name refreshment of spirit, and, if it be thy holy will, perfect restoration to health; through the same thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord. As Our GOD,the GREAT PHSYCIAN,guides the hands of mortal physicians with the utmost of HOLY POWER, and, as they hold HIS child in their capable hands, they are most blessed through HIM. Amen.
UNTO God's gracious mercy and protection we commit thee. The Lord bless thee and keep thee. The Lord make his face to shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee. The Lord lift up the light of his countenance upon thee and give thee peace, both now and evermore. Amen.
A PRAYER TO SAINT GERARD MAJELLA
FOR A SICK CHILD
St. Gerard, who, like the Saviour,
loved children so tenderly
and by your prayers freed many from disease and even death,
listen to us who are pleading for our sick child.
We thank God for the great gift of our son/daughter
and ask Him to restore our child to health
if such be His holy will.
This favour, we beg of you
through your love for all children and mothers.
Amen.
